Walterus vineyard

From passion for wine to passion for winemaking

Everything began in 2010 with the start of a series of courses on viticulture, winemaking, and spirits. Some time later, a first test field of grapevines was established. It was soon clear that this hobby had spiralled out of control.

In 2018, 'Walterus Linde', a red wine from the 2017 vintage, was presented to the public for the first time. In 2019, they proudly presented an expansion of their range from the 2018 vintage with a white 'Walterus Lenthe' and rosé 'Walterus Arden'. The names Linde and Lenthe are the names of their daughters. The range will soon be expanded again with red wines of the 2018 vintage. Together, they aim to offer Belgian wines as a quality product from the local region.

EMS Gins

In addition to a passion for winemaking, the distillery had already produced a range of liqueurs. The alcohol distillation process of this first experiment stimulated them to try a new challenge.  This is how the idea of the EMS distillery began to emerge.

Their first gin was born and christened 'DIVINITY'; a Kempen gin made from quinces, hops and a variety of spices. The gins were joined a little later by 'ORENDA' gin and 'TRINITY' gin.

The range was further expanded with other new types of drinks such as rum.
