After an update by the Province of Antwerp Tourist Board, the Kempense Heide (Kempen heath) Trail Network is more charming than ever thanks to new routes in Brasschaat, Brecht, Essen and Stabroek. The brand-new trail map offers a complete overview, including suggested circular walks.
The trail network map can be bought at the town hall reception (payable in cash) and online via Kempen. The map costs €8.

4,855 red-and-white signs
The trail network is structured around nodes, just like the numbered-node cycle network. You simply follow the rectangular, red-and-white signs from node to node. The Province of Antwerp Tourist Board has placed no less than 4,855 of them. You can follow the signs in both directions.
