Lekker Kempens
'Lekker Kempens: Een rondreis langs lokale producten en gerechten' (Tasty Kempen: A tour of local products and dishes) is a book published by Davidsfonds. This project by Kempen Kookt! (Kempen Cooks!) is a unique collaboration between three Antwerp-Kempen heritage cells, Rurant NPO and Vormingplus Kempen. The projects are supported by the European funding programme LEADER.

Sabayon with Kempen regional beer
Ingredients for 4 people
- 4 egg yolks
- 4 half eggcups of beer (best with high fermentation, with a high alcohol content)
- 4 half eggcups of sugar
Preparation (10 mins)
Put the egg yolks in a saucepan. Mix the sugar and beer into the egg yolks. Put the pan on a medium heat and whisk continuously until a frothy sabayon forms. You can serve the sabayon on its own or as a sauce with a scoop of farmhouse ice-cream.
